After the success the Quake live beta has known, it seems as if other developers are looking into the idea of putting fps into your webbrowser.
I am talking about the return of the amazing 1998 game: Starsiege Tribes.
This Sci-Fi Shooter that features heavy use of a jet pack to maneuver over the enormous landscapes, has always been a cult classic. Perhaps not as known as its sequel, Tribes2, This was the game that showed gamers that fps could be a whole different kind of game. Featuring a classes system that could be customized to your own likings, weapon and armor layouts, This game was a hit.
The people responsible for the resurrection of this game is GarbageGames, they bought all the rights to the entire Starsiege Universe, I personally am really hoping to see Tribes 2 back in action.
