New L4D2 game mode
L4D2 gamers probably know the Mutations-mode that's in the game. This function offers every week another game-mode that's normally not in
the game. Valve decided to put one of those, called Realism Versus, as a real game mode in the game. After a poll Valve decided to do this.
68% of the gamers were pro, 11% contra.
Realism Versus is more realistic than the usual versus mode. The infected don't die as quick and weapons are harder to find.... |

At 9:01 this morning (today is 15/04/2010), Microsoft pulled the plug on Xbox Live 1.0. From now on it's impossible to play online with the original Xbox.

Robert was declared dead on March 24, 2010 after a fall that took place outside his home in Los Angeles.

Valve opens a portal to Macs
Since yesterday, you can sign up for the closed-beta test of the downloadservice Steam for Mac. Yeah you heard it ! Valve plans to launch Mac support with Steam and the Valve games. These will be the Half-Life and L4D series, TF2, CS and Portal. We can expect more this month.
Also, a beta test for Windows version ! I heard Steam will get a whole new lay-out, slick and smooth.

Portal : Prelude
Developed by the Valve Corporation and released on October 9 2007, Portal was immediately a big hit. As it was part of the Orange Box, most of the attention went to Team Fortress 2, which is understandable. But there’s something about this game why people didn’t forget it, in all this TF2 madness, what Portal made so ‘Portal’. That’s why I'd call it big.
It’s not a very long game, and that’s a good thing if you ask me. After 18 chambers of puzzling you can get kind of tired of all that thinking and puzzling. But when you reach #19, that’s where it gets really interesting. Here’s where the actual story starts and where it’s more than puzzling. You can finally begin the very short road towards ‘the understanding’. It’s all about getting to know more of the mystery of the abandoned Aperture Science Laboratories. But before you know it, the game is over (no not in the fire) and you still have dozens of questions.
That’s where the unofficial Portal mod called "Portal : Prelude" comes in... as far that's possible. |

Review: Left 4 Dead
It was a cold and dark night. Distant shrieks of pain echo between the eerie concrete apartment buildings, The Penetrating scent of decay fills our lungs. There's 4 of us, and thousands of them. One way or another we'll have to try and reach the other side of the road. Looking down from the rooftop, staring at the endless masses of infected, grunting, searching, It becomes hard to find the courage. Looking the other way, hearing some horde closing in on our location, leaving us no option. We have to keep moving...
We kick in a door, and start running, Our flashlights revealing the secrets of the darkness. Blood splatters have become a familiar sight, but the smell is something no-one could ever get used to. We hear grunting in the far end of a dark hallway, and as we point our flashlights down the hall a door breaks open and spews out countless infected, running, screaming, wanting to have dinner. We greet them, guns blazing, the infected corpses pile up quick.
As we are finishing off the last few, we get hit in the back by another rushing horde, but a Molotov tossed in the right direction works wonders, a flaming wall appears, yet the infected still rush through, murder on their mind. The few that do manage to get through the fire, stumble a couple of paces, as they burn to a crisp. That's one side covered.
As more infected close in on us, one of us is grabbed by the 40ft long tongue of a smoker, constricting him, dragging him away from us. I try and catch up to him, wanting to knock him free, yet as I came closer, the flames stop me dead in my tracks. I see my friend getting dragged through the flames, screaming for his life. I feel helpless, sad, I feel .... "TAAAAAANK!!!!!", no time to stand here and feel sorry, We hear the thundering footsteps of a giant approaching.
His fists are in for a party, and we're all invited. as he rounds the corner, we start running, the flames have died down, and as we run out, I can still see the smoker chewing down on my now lifeless friend. As I blast him to hell, he explodes in a fine mist, reeking of an intriguing mix of vomit and tobacco.
The tank is still approaching, we try and make a run for it, and the tank hurls a massive chunk of concrete towards us, hitting 2 of us in the back, I ... I think my back is broken, I can't move my legs, I can still see the tank running after the last of us, who is making a desperate run for it. As I see hordes of infected running towards me, and I grab my pistols and try to take down as many as I can, I will be dead soon...

After a disappointing Medal of honor Pacific assault, the WW2 series is back. Maybe you think: Oh no! Yet again, a WW2 game but this one is quite different. Counter-Strike Pro Mod: Play hard, go ...?
For those who can't complete the last sentence, should really consider to stop playing "Put Put Saves The Zoo".
But, I can imagine this is the first time many of you hear about this "Counter-Strike: Pro Mod" so in this article I'm going to explain a bit more about this interesting new Source-engine based game and I'll also tell something about the history of both games.
Of course we all know Counter-Strike, and we'll all probably know that we're talking about a very old game here.
